The Client

Shelly McNeil is a Royal LePage REALTOR® serving Nanaimo and the surrounding communities on central Vancouver Island, including Parksville, Qualicum, Nanoose, Ladysmith, Chemainus, and Duncan. As an established agent with a strong local reputation, she needed a website that worked as hard as she does.

The Challenge

Real estate is a crowded, competitive space online, and most agent websites look identical: a headshot, a listings widget, and little else to set one REALTOR® apart from the next. Shelly needed a site that reflected her personal brand, made it effortless for buyers and sellers to take the next step, and could rank across six different service areas without diluting her presence in any one of them.

What We Built

We utilized her existing domain and pointed it away from her brokerage agent profile and toward her brand new custom designed website. We designed a full real estate platform rather than a simple brochure site. That meant building out property search functionality so visitors could browse current listings without leaving the site, a mortgage calculator to help buyers plan before they even call, and a request form for home evaluations to capture sellers at the exact moment they’re considering listing.

To handle the multi-community challenge, we built dedicated service area pages for each region Shelly serves, giving Google a clear, specific page to rank for each location instead of one page trying to do everything. A blog and FAQ section were added to keep the site active and answer the questions buyers and sellers search for most.

The visual direction leaned into bright, warm, coastal photography that reflects the Vancouver Island lifestyle Shelly is selling as much as any individual property.
